Elder Care

 Something close to our hearts is the care and wellbeing of the elderly community. Sadly it is common for the elderly women in the community to be caring for grandchildren, having lost their own children to HIV or other disease. The pressure of this is compounded as they struggle to feed and care for themselves. A grandmother, hunched over, digging in the fields with a young baby swaddled on her back is an all too familiar sight. Our plan is to develop a program to offer care and comfort to vulnerable elderly community members. We will do this by setting up an outreach program . We will identify appropriate staff to undertake training and will conduct home visits to ensure the elderly community are receiving regular contact and the care and resources they need.
