Health centre construction

 In 2019, with the help of funds raised from various events, together with donations from several of our wonderful supporters, we saw the beginning of our dream to build a community health centre to service  Future Generation Primary and Nursery School students, as well as the outlying Rubanda community. Plans are underway to complete this facility which will see the centre fitted out with all necessary equipment and the employment of registered nurses. Government licensing will be issued. The facility will be a welcome addition to the community, who to date struggle to access health care as needed. Being located in a remote area some 40 minutes from Kabale town, emergency care is often delayed due to the lack of funds and transport available. Our aim is to provide the initial quality care needed, prior to being transported to a larger hospital if further treatment is required. 

As of early 2023 the health centre construction including toilet and kitchen facilities are almost complete and are on target for official opening in September 2023.
