 Aged Care Facilities are a foreign concept to many developing countries. Many elderly women in the local community surrounding the school are caring for grandchildren and great grandchildren and as their own health and mobility decreases they are left to fend for themselves.
Plans are afoot to develop an outreach program to offer care and comfort to the many vulnerable elderly community members. We will identify and train staff to visit the elderly in the surrounding community and attend to any urgent needs.  We hope to gain funding for this project through the 'Sponsorship of an elderly person' which will help fund the cost of staff to implement this program. Any funds raised will also go toward the purchase of essential items for the elderly including food to eliminate the need for these vulnerable men and women needing to work in the fields to sustain themselves.
